At StepSprite, we believe your health data belongs to you. This policy explains how we handle your data on our website and in our app.
1. The StepSprite App (iOS & Android)
- Local Data Processing: The StepSprite app processes motion data locally on your device.

Health Frameworks:
- iOS: With your explicit permission, the app reads and writes data to Apple Health (HealthKit).
- Android: With your explicit permission, the app interacts with Health Connect.
- No Cloud Sync: We do not operate a cloud server for app data. Your step counts, walking history, and location are never transmitted to us or any third party. If you delete the app, your StepSprite-specific configuration is deleted. Your health data remains in Apple Health / Health Connect according to your system settings.
2. The Website & Online Store
When you purchase a Dev Kit from our website (or via our partners Lectronz/Tindie), we collect the minimum information required to fulfill your order:
- Data Collected: Name, Shipping Address, Email Address, and Phone Number (required by courier services like Speedy/DPD).
- Payment Data: We do not store credit card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe / PayPal), who acts as the Data Controller for financial information.
- Data Retention: We are legally required by Bulgarian tax law to keep invoices (containing your name/address) for 5-10 years.
3. Analytics & Cookies
- Website: We use [Simple Analytics / Plausible / None] to count visitors. We do not use invasive tracking cookies or Facebook Pixels.
- App: The app does not use analytics SDKs. We rely on Apple/Google's anonymous "Opt-in" crash reporting if you have enabled it on your OS.
4. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (Order history).
- Request deletion of your data (subject to tax law retention requirements).
- Correct any inaccurate data.

5. Third Parties
We share shipping data with:
- Speedy / DPD / Econt: Solely for the purpose of delivering your package.
